Owner Dick Liddy has made meat his business for over 50 years. He got his start as a teenager working at a sausage kitchen in Stillwater, Minnesota. In 1977 he moved his family to the Valley to open up his own butcher shop. He found what he was looking for in French's Meat Shoppe, originally located at Granite Reef and McDowell Roads and owned by Don and Darlene French. The French's had owned the shop since the sixties. Dick bought the business in 1977 and it's been family owned and operated ever since. These days you can find any number of Dick's four kids (all grown up now), working with their Dad.
Owner Dick Liddy was raised with old fashioned Midwestern values, and he runs his business with those same values in mind. Good, quality product at a fair price. We make our sausage fresh to order, and never add MSG or nitrates. We don't use soy products, fillers, or by-products in our ground beef, but rather make it fresh every night, using boneless beef and choice trimmings from our steaks.
Here at French's we believe in supporting our local community, and have done so for many years. We have proudly supported Scottsdale little league for over thirty years.
